Team members

Use team members for people who appear in events, event series, the imprint, or public profiles.

A team record describes a person to website visitors. It does not give them permission to log in. Use Users for an admin account. Article author credits use the separate Authors feature.

Admin path: Content > Team members
Routes: /persons and /person/{id}

Add a team member

  1. Select Add team member.
  2. Enter the name parts: Name prefix, Family name, Given name, Second given name, and Name suffix. Family name and given name are required.
  3. Fill in Display name only if the public name should differ from the name parts.
  4. Add an image, the Job title, and Additional information.
  5. Select Save.

If Display name is filled in, the public website shows it exactly as typed instead of the name assembled from the name parts. Leave it empty when the assembled name is correct.

The list shows each person’s state, name, and last update date. Filter it by name.

❗
Important

Add only contact details the person has approved for publication.

For example, a job title might be “Programme coordinator”, while an event relation might say “Host”. Enter the permanent role here and the event-specific role on the event. Use a portrait that remains recognisable when cropped to the website’s card shape.

The Contact details box holds phone, email, fax, and website entries.

  1. Select Add contact.
  2. Choose its type: Phone number, Email address, Fax, or Website.
  3. Enter a Caption and the contact itself: the phone number, email address, or web address.

The Social media contacts box holds profiles. Select Add profile, choose the platform, and fill in the Caption and URL.

For a social link, use the full public profile address. A display name or handle alone may not be a working destination. Leave unavailable contacts out instead of filling them with “none” or example addresses. Use the arrows to arrange entries and the delete control to remove one. Test their public formats after saving.

The Has its own page switch decides where the person’s name leads.

  • On: set the profile URL, build the profile in the Content box with content blocks, and complete the SEO and sharing fields.
  • Off: there is no profile page. A Link field appears instead. Use it to point to another page or an external address, or leave it empty.

Select Save, then Publish. Unpublish removes the public record but keeps it in the admin. Leave Has its own page off when the record exists only for relations or the imprint.

Add the person to an event or staff list

  1. Save the team record first.
  2. Open the event, event series, or Imprint that should show them.
  3. Select Add contributor and choose the existing person.
  4. Enter their Role there, such as “Host”, and arrange their position with the arrows.
  5. Save that parent item and check its public result.

Creating a person does not automatically add them to every staff list. If their name is absent, check the selection on the page that should display them, as well as the relevant publication states and language.

⚠️
Warning

Deleting a team member can remove their appearance from events, series, and staff lists. Check those relations first.
