Orders

An order is created when a customer completes checkout on the public website. Use Orders to review an order, confirm it, and mark pickup orders as completed.

Orders come from checkout. In the admin, you review and confirm them.

Note

Available on websites with a webshop. See Commerce.

Admin path: Commerce > Orders
Routes: /orders and /order/{id}

Find an order

The list shows each order’s Created date and time, the customer’s Email address, the Amount, and the Updated date. Select the created date to open an order.

The list shows orders placed in the current content language. To see orders from another language version of the website, switch the language in the sidebar.

Read an order

The heading shows the customer’s email address and when the order was created.

The Summary lists each ordered item:

ColumnShows
ItemThe product and variation name, with the SKU below.
Unit priceThe gross price of one item, with the Net unit price below.
QuantityHow many the customer ordered.
AmountUnit price × quantity, gross, with the Net amount below.

The Total row adds up the items.

Delivery details shows the customer’s Family name, Given name, postcode, town, and street address. For a company order, it also shows the Company name, Tax number, and EU VAT number. These fields are read-only.

Confirm an order

Until an order is confirmed, its footer shows Confirm.

  1. Check the items, the delivery details, and the payment in your payment provider’s account.
  2. Select Confirm.
  3. Wait for the Confirmation successful message.

A confirmation cannot be undone.

What happens next depends on the delivery type the customer chose:

  • In-person pickup: confirming emails the customer that the order is ready to collect. Confirm only when the order is actually ready.
  • Other delivery types: confirming records the confirmation. It does not send the customer an email.

Order emails come from the sender set in Advanced settings. Depending on your website’s setup, JORD also emails the customer when the order is placed.

Complete a pickup order

After you confirm an In-person pickup order, Mark as completed appears.

  1. Hand over the order.
  2. Open the order and select Mark as completed.
  3. Wait for the Successfully marked as completed message.

For GLS, FOXPOST, and digital delivery, confirming is the final step in the admin.

Check your work

  • The order’s email address and items match what the customer bought.
  • The payment arrived in your payment provider’s account.
  • Pickup orders are confirmed only when they are ready, and marked as completed after collection.
