Usage guide
Use Google Analytics 4 when the site should send visit information directly to a Google Analytics 4 property, without Tag Manager.
What you need
- The property’s measurement ID. It starts with
G-, as the field hintG-XXXXXXXXshows. Find it under the property’s web data stream in Google Analytics. - Approval from the person responsible for the site’s privacy setup.
Set it up
- Open Website > Settings and scroll to Plugins.
- Find the Google Analytics 4 card in the Analytics group.
- Switch on the card’s Turn on switch. The card’s fields appear.
- Enter the measurement ID in Analytics ID.
- Select Save at the bottom of the screen.
JORD loads Google’s tag with this ID on every public page.
Check that it works
Visit the public site, then ask the account owner to check the property’s real-time report and confirm the visit arrives.
Likely mistakes
⚠️
Warning
If Google Tag Manager is also on with an ID, JORD loads Tag Manager and skips this plugin. Choose one of the two.
- Use the measurement ID that starts with
G-. - Do not enter a Tag Manager container ID (
GTM-…) here. - An empty ID field loads nothing, even with the card turned on.
