Usage guide
Use Facebook basic integration when the website should embed Facebook or Instagram posts, and when shared pages should carry the organisation’s Meta app ID.
JORD uses the app ID and client token together to load Facebook and Instagram posts in embed blocks, both on the public website and in the admin preview. It also adds the app ID to every public page.
What you need
Both values come from the same app in the organisation’s Meta for Developers account:
- the App ID, found under Settings > Basic > App ID;
- the Client token, found under Settings > Advanced > Security > Client Token.
These paths are also shown as hints under the fields.
Set it up
- Open Website > Settings and scroll to Plugins.
- Find the Facebook basic integration card in the Marketing group.
- Switch on the card’s Turn on switch. The card’s fields appear.
- Enter Facebook App ID.
- Enter Facebook Client Token.
- Select Save at the bottom of the screen.
Check that it works
Open a public page with a Facebook or Instagram embed and check that the post appears. Ask the app owner to confirm the app is live and allowed to display embeds.
Likely mistakes
Treat the client token as an account value: do not post it in messages or screenshots.
- This card is not for a Facebook page address. Add social profile links under Content > Contact.
- It is separate from Facebook domain verification and Facebook Pixel. One does not replace the others.
- Use the app ID and client token from the same app.
