Setup clients

Your mailbox runs on Stalwart and accepts standard IMAP and SMTP connections, so any mail app can connect directly. Most of the apps below can detect the right settings automatically once you enter your e-mail address. Use the manual settings only if automatic setup fails or the app asks for them.

Set up your app

Pick your mail app below and follow its steps.

Open Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
Select Other, then Add Mail Account.
Enter your name, full e-mail address, password, and a description, then select Next.
Select IMAP at the top.
Under Incoming Mail Server, enter host name stalwart.skape.io, your e-mail address as username, and your password.
Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter host name stalwart.skape.io, your e-mail address as username, and your password.
Select Next, then Save.

Open Mail, then go to Mail > Add Account.
Select Other Mail Account, then Continue.
Enter your name, full e-mail address, and password, then select Sign In.
If Mail cannot find the settings automatically, enter them manually: incoming mail server stalwart.skape.io (IMAP), outgoing mail server stalwart.skape.io (SMTP), with your e-mail address and password for both.
Choose the apps that should use this account (Mail, Notes, etc.) and select Done.

Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account (or Settings > Accounts > Add Account).
Enter your full e-mail address and select Connect.
If prompted to choose a type, select IMAP.
If asked for advanced or manual setup, enter: incoming server stalwart.skape.io, port 993, SSL; outgoing server stalwart.skape.io, port 587, STARTTLS (or port 465, SSL).
Enter your e-mail address as the username and your password, then select Connect (or Done).

Open Mail, select Settings (gear icon), then Manage Accounts > Add account.
Select Advanced setup, then Internet email.
Enter an account name, your name, and:
- Incoming mail server: stalwart.skape.io, IMAP4, port 993, requires SSL
- Outgoing mail server: stalwart.skape.io, port 587, requires SSL/STARTTLS and authentication
Enter your full e-mail address as the username and your password.
Select Sign in, then Done.

Open Thunderbird and go to Account Settings > Account Actions > Add Mail Account (or use the setup wizard on first launch).
Enter your name, full e-mail address, and password, then select Continue.
If Thunderbird finds correct settings using stalwart.skape.io, select Done.
If not, select Configure manually and enter: IMAP server stalwart.skape.io, port 993, SSL/TLS; SMTP server stalwart.skape.io, port 587, STARTTLS (or port 465, SSL/TLS); your e-mail address as username for both.
Select Re-test, then Done.
