Usage guide

Use Facebook domain verification when the organisation’s Meta Business account needs to confirm that it controls the website’s domain.

What you need

  • The verification code from Meta’s meta-tag method. Meta shows a tag like <meta name="facebook-domain-verification" content="…" />. You need only the value inside content.
  • The person who manages the organisation’s Meta Business account.

Set it up

  1. Open Website > Settings and scroll to Plugins.
  2. Find the Facebook domain verification card in the Marketing group.
  3. Switch on the card’s Turn on switch. The card’s fields appear.
  4. Paste the value into Code.
  5. Select Save at the bottom of the screen.

JORD then adds the verification tag to every public page.

Check that it works

After saving, ask the account owner to run the verification in Meta. If it fails, confirm that Meta is checking the exact domain and that the meta-tag method was chosen.

Likely mistakes

  • Do not paste the whole HTML tag. Enter only the code.
  • Do not paste a pixel ID or a Facebook app token into this field.
